This is the first in a series of lunchtime webinars aimed at providing our clients with valuable insights into key risks, trends and better practice across the government sector. In partnership with leading legal firm Clayton Utz, we specifically looked at Conflicts of Interest in the Local Government Sector.

As part of this webinar, an external moderator was appointed to throw the panel of experts some tough questions in relation to probity, governance and corruption prevention risks associated with conflicts of interest that are faced specifically by Councils and are also reflective of the challenges for Councils over the last 18 months.

The panel included OCM Partner in Workplace Conduct and Risk, Nick Iorfino, and OCM Probity Partner, Sarah Mullins. Nick and Sarah were joined by Clayton Utz Special Counsel Jennifer Harris who has significant experience in the local government sector.

During the session we drew on innovative thought leadership across a number of jurisdictions as well as gave participants an opportunity to ask the Panel of Experts their own hard hitting questions on the topic.
