The project
The County Fire Authority (CFA) is one of the worlds largest volunteer based emergency services, with over 58,000 volunteers. It is situated in Victoria and is responsible for 150,182 square kilometres of land, including more than 980,000 homes and the rural and provincial cities and towns of Victoria.
Our role
OCM was engaged by CFA to provide procurement support services in relation to the Environmental Compliance Program, a program designed to investigate the potential impacts of historic firefighting practices. Within this role OCM leveraged its understanding of the Victorian Government Purchasing Board’s policies and guidelines to undertake the following activities:
- Provided procurement advice and transaction support across all stages of a Request for Tender (RFT) process
- Provided input into the preparation of key documents including all RFT documents, the evaluation plan, and the evaluation report
- Provided technical and legal assistance at all stages of the procurement to ensure the rigour and robustness of the processes
- Undertook a risk assessment to ensure all potential and perceived risks relating to the CFA fleet of appliances were identified and appropriately managed.
